The only thing I love more than watching movies, is talking about movies. Since I was young, I loved the escapism that movies provide, and the ability to be transported somewhere else for those precious few hours and see something new and unique. It often wouldn't matter what the movies were. Good or bad, comedy or horror, I would watch them in their entirety and be thoroughly hooked. It probably helped that I grew up a stones throw from the oldest continually running theater in the united states. It also probably helped that they only charged three dollars for a double feature (two movies, back to back) every single night. Going to movies was just the thing to do for me and my friends.
In college I took a handful of film related classes including scriptwriting, studio production, video field production, cinema arts, and directing. I was eager to see the "man behind the curtain" that made all of this magic possible, and my admiration of the art of film only grew.
This blog will capture my thoughts and feelings toward any movies I watch, as well as the occasional group breakdown my friends and I do after sitting through the 4+ hours of a double feature.
